Andrew Dainty is Professor of Construction Sociology within the School of Civil and Building Engineering, and Director of Loughborough University's Graduate School. A renowned expert on the sociologies of construction practice, for the past 22 years his research has focused on the social rules and processes that affect people working as members of project teams. He was part of the GenderTime consortium and acted successfully as Transfer Agent in his role as Dean for his faculty. Furthermore, he researched about achieving gender equality in the construction professions, gender in engineering and higher education (e.g. FP7-project HELENA).
