Marcela Linková, PhD, is the head of the Centre for Gender and Science at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Her research focuses on sociology of gendered organisations, research careers, governance of research and research assessment from a gender perspective.
In 2016-2017 she was the co-chair of the European Commission's Helsinki Group on Gender in Research and Innovation, and has served as a member of expert and advisory bodies for the European Commission and Czech state administration.
She was the Vice-Chair of genderSTE Cost Action TN 1201 (gender, science, technology, environment). In 2017 she participated in "Women in STEM" International Visitor Leadership Program in the USA.
